Hollywood celebrities came out in full force last night to honor one of their own. No, it was not George Clooney or Julia Roberts. And if you guessed Meryl Streep or Robert DeNiro, you couldn't be more wrong. The one their were feting was none other than America's favorite garment:the girls birthday dress.

Yes, after years and years of taking second seat to some of this country's favorite screen icons, the birthday dress is finally getting its due... and not a moment too soon. We've seen it in countless movies, tv shows, award ceremonies and commercials. Audiences have gasped at their beauty... remarking in awe how they flow and ebb as the beautiful girl makes her way through the scene in her dress. Everyone loves a girl in a birthday dress. The way the confidence in her smile just lights up the room. It's infectious, sending chills down all of our spines. There's really no limit to the joy it brings all of us.
