Middle School Graduates Wear Birthday Dresses

Well, it's almost the end of the school year, which means it's time for Old Duncan to start talking about the latest trends in graduation ceremony apparel. It ain't mortarboard caps. And it ain't long, flowing gowns. Let's leave those to our municipal judges, okay? Instead, I would like to devote this blog page to a garment that is far more exciting and trend setting. Of course, I am referring to the girls birthday dress.

Yes, birthday dresses can be worn to school ceremonies. No one is going to deny you a diploma when you look so cute wearing a fashion forward dress like that. I don't care if you gave the teacher an apple with a worm in it. As long as you are wearing one of these adorable dresses, you earn a get out of jail free card. Truly! LOL. My niece is a real gabbermouth. She gets it from me. Anyway, she was being a chatty cathy in her Algebra class when she was supposed to be doing numbers and such. Fiddle-faddle, I say. The teacher sent my precious little girl to the principal's office for a good talking to. Fortunately, the attending administrator was a huge fan on Veronique's birthday girl dress, and had a million questions for her.... starting with, where to buy it. Pretty soon, my special little gal was practically putting on a runway show of her own. She was spinning and twirling and strutting her stuff. What a scene! Pretty soon, everyone in the hallway saw this little show and wanted to watch as well. Before long, the office was packed with girls who wanted to take a sneak peak at this birthday dress. They all wanted to buy one, so naturally, my precious girl told them where to buy it. I suppose that's how the ceremony became full of girls who were wearing dresses for birthdays. I love it, ya'll!
