Age Appropriate Girls Dresses

I gotta say, I’m pretty sick of seeing little girls dresses in age inappropriate clothing.  So much of what is sold today over-sexualizes them.  It’s horrific that a parent would allow their little girl to wear tight clothing, or “juicy" clothing, or low cut tops and midriff.  Who in their right mind would want their child to dress like an adult.  They grow up so fast in today’s society.  Can’t we just let kids be kids for a little while?  My daughter loves to wear girls birthday dresses.  They are simple, and fun, and festive, and very girlish.  And as long as she wants to wear them, I’m more than happy to provide them.  

Birthday dresses for girls are the opposite of what you see some parents doing to their kids.  It’s like those beauty pageants where adults dress up their kids to look like 40 year old prostitutes.  It’s a reaction against the pressure to dress a girl like something she is not.  A birthday dress rebels against that, making a girl look her age.  They spin and twirl and are lots of fun to wear, and they don’t expose a girl.  They are more modest, but incredibly fun and festive.  The patterns are bold and bright, and the fabrics are soft and lively.   They make a girl feel unique and special, and don’t make others uncomfortable.  Obviously, a girl doesn’t need to wear these dresses only to a birthday party.  They can be worn to school, to church, or even at home.  They are affordable every day where, and don’t need special care or cleaning.  Just toss them in the washing machine and dryer.  No need for dry cleaning or special instructions.  This is exactly the kind of birthday dress every girl should wear.
