Old Honda Can't Handle Sharp Turn, Spills Girls Maxi Dresses from Trunk

Posted on July 6 2013 by duncanfaber4

I witnessed something truly unusual today.  I was buying a soy latte from Starbucks when I heard the screeching of tires in the distance.  I quickly turned my head to witness an old Honda barreling down the road, making a right hand turn.  The driver must have been in a rush, because he didn’t brake at all when he turned.  Instead, I think he simply gassed it.  The car screamed as it tried to hold the road, and for some reason, the trunk popped open.  Out flew at least a dozen girls maxi dresses like the kind you find here.  Maxi dresses are a favorite of my daughter, so that’s how I was able to quickly identify them.  The auto continued racing down the street, it’s owner unaware or uninterested in the precious cargo that it has just lost.

Within seconds, people were spilling into the avenue to pick up the maxi dresses.  They were brand new, and with the exception of some leaves stuck to them, in perfect condition.  They must’ve been stolen from a boutique or showroom somewhere.   Within a few minutes, the cops showed up.  Some of the girls asked if they could keep the maxi dresses.  You could tell the policeman wanted to say yes, probably because he didn’t want to file a report for all the dresses he recovered.  But the law was the law, so it was out of his control.  Someone bought the man a cappuccino, most likely as a stall so that the other girls could admire the maxis for a while.  But all good things must come to an end, because he wound up taking all the dresses back to headquarters.  Perhaps he was only going to take the whole thing home to his own girls.  Who knows?

When I got home, I immediately told the story of what I had witnessed to my family.  My little girl insisted on finding those maxi dresses on line.  She had to see it, knowing they must be truly beautiful for someone to want to steal that many.  I don’t know if I found the exact brand, but I found one that my girl liked just as much, if not more.  It’s called TwirlyGirl, and all of their dresses are made in the USA.  It didn’t say on their website that they had just been robbed, although that would be a weird thing to put on a site, don’t you think.  We wound up buying my girl a new maxi for back to school.  She loved how stylish the dress was, and I knew she would wear it practically every day.  If you want to see what it looked like, this link will take you to their homepage.
